WATCH WORLD CUP FOOTBALL, BAR 25 STYLEE
Just one door down from their usual location, Bar 25 have opened up 'Burg 24' (named such for the Johanesburg games, geddit?) and it's seriously probably the best summer football location in Berlin i've ever seen.
It's designed in that classic Bar25 style, truly off-the-wall wacky, with a deifnite pirate-pleasure-island feel. The bar is of course built in wood but its all the eye-catching details you will see in the level above - from skulls to dolls to bottles to glittering glass and more that makes this such a feast for the eyes - its a magpie's wet dream.
For a small price (3 euro) you can hang out as long as you want, watching the games on the big screen at the back of the location - the sun was shining so bright that I couldnt capture the football screening area on camera but more photos will follow next week! And between or after matches you can hang out at the bar at the front area and watch the skaters skating around on the mini-skate ramps built by Berlin local, Martin aka Monkey, (he is pictured below with his shirt off together with Inez, girl about town.)
The whole thing is sponsored by adidas, and many cute details asides from the well-known sign alude to the brand, such as washing lines over the skateramp over which vintage pairs of adidas sneakers hang....
The sun may have disappeared for this weekend but its back out next week, so see you all there!
