What makes 'Auf Geht's Deutschland' the perfect football fan song?
I think first of all, it´s a beautiful song with a good mood and melody. The lyrics are funny and easy to sing with, and last but not least it's a song from football fans for football fans.
How long did it take to write?
The lyrics maybe 20 minutes, the recording itself 2 days!
Where do you think germany will come in this years tournament?
They will go to the finals, and they will win the final!
You'e a passionate football fan right? What's the craziest thing youve done for your love of the beautiful game?
I think there are 2 things, that i will never forget: my application as a volunteer for the fifa world cup 2006 in germany, where i supported the press photographers in the munich stadium at 6 games directly on the court. And my interview with the president of Bayern München for my diploma during my students time.
Remind us of the dates where we can see you perform during the WM?
I´ll play at the opening ceremony the 11th of june at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and at the Fanmeile for all Germany games during the tournament, thats 11, 13, 16, 18, 20 and 23 June.
Youve become something of an overnight sensation - whats that been like? whats the biggest thing youve done so far press wise?
A sensation is a bit to much maybe, but the past days have been a bit crazy of course. Filmmakers do a documentation about the process and what I do. And the newspaper of my hometown has written an article about me and my partner hubi dahlem. And i´ve been invited to radio studios to sing my songs. I hope there will be a lot more of those happenings to come.
What else can we expect from krisiman once the WM is over?
I will definatly keep on going with my music! after the WM I will release an album, but this will be more in my singer/songwriting style. I hope, people get to know me during the world cup, so they might be interessted in my other music aswell.
How would you describe your style as a singer/songwriter?
Easy, funny, selfmade
How long have you been writing songs?
I´ve been playing in bands since the age of 15. But writing my own music as "krisiman" happens since maybe 10 years now.
Will you record and album and look for a label?
Even if i don´t find a label, i´ll keep on writing music, recording songs and will play live in different clubs. This will never end, i guess.
