A stunning new photography studio and multi-functional loft space has just opened up in Berlin - they're called Studio Chérie and they are putting on some really nice events of their own, from photography workshops to parties, as well as getting involved with other peoples events. We predict it will become quite the new hot spot of KreuzKöln. The loft is a spacious 200m2 and can transform from a production studio to a photo gallery to a party location with chamaeleon-like ease.
Tomorrow (Friday 28), they will be bringing their Studio Chérie Photobooth to the launch party of the Swedish-based fashion label Orphan Bird, as well as taking the official event pictures. That is taking place at Sameheads Berlin, who are legendary for their art/fashion themed parties.
The label Orphan Bird opened in Gothenburg, Sweden early this year and is a collaboration between an Italian designer and Swedish photographer. Expect a lot of bold patterns, timeless cuts and uniform colours in designs that encourage people to go against the grain and make their own interpretations. There will also be an art installation by David Salemme to check out, accoustic entertainment from Lucia Lip and a DJ set by Riku on the shop floor.
Upcoming events in Studio Cherie are the photo exhibition of Thomas 'toums' Gosset in collaboration with Zirkumflex.
There will also be the release party for DJ/Producer Tolga Fidan's new track 'Fairwell 22' from the latest album 'Rouge'.
