Last friday night I had the pleasure of DJing at the invitation-only HYAM party at the wonderful Kimchi Princess restaurant! First of all about 40 guests got stuck into the great Koreon food (the beef there is always my fave) and after dinner they pushed the tables back, set up the decks and slowly but surely, people started getting their groove on. The evening was organised by HYAM (aka Hyperactive Media) as a get-together for creative Berlin locals, and I must say, the atmosphere was extremely relaxed and cool! ABSOLUT vodka laid on some free vodka coctails, which went down a treat (I like to have a drink before I start DJing, haha!) Oliver Bronner, head of HYAM, said he did organised it 'just because! Just to get people out and have a nice dinner and later some party. We will see if it becomes a regular thing, im just trying it out and seeing if this one is successful'. Judging by the packed dancefloor and busy bar, I think it's a safe bet we will see more parties in Berlin organised by HYAM! I played a rocking indie-electro-80s set, and after me there came Wilson (aka Willy Wonka) and then the ever-entertaining Jake the Rapper! Props to HYAM - im ready to DJ at your next party!!
