What to Wear This Weekend?

With the weather drastically changing and with a huge line up of events going on this weekend, I have put together a Top Ten List of all the shops you should consider for your new fall weekend wardrobe. A shoppers guide a la Aycha. For each weekend event I have included a one stop shop where you can find all you need. Enjoy!

10. Blitz! is one of those perfect Berlin parties as it represents the Berliner attitude so well.  Gay friendly, fashion based from quintessential 80's references, dark and goth (in a good way), and Experimental with a capitol E.  This Friday October 14th they will be putting on their once a month event and I for one am spending hours pondering what to wear.  A visit to Apartment and their little vintage shop next store called CASH is mos def on the hit list. I'm thinking vintage Raf Simons shirt with new Rick Owens trousers.

9. Alter Ego at Asphalt was a great fetish party that now has become a fancy dress party where every one wears a mask.  Regardless of the lack of true fetishism, on October 14th it will still be fun to get all dolled up and trashed. For this party I have chosen Schwarzer Reiter where you can pick up a exquisite leather mask, a great sequence black dress, AND stock up on your lub at the same time.

8. The real fetish party is at Equipage on October 15th, for this party I suggest Tres Bonjour.  Both men and women will find very stylish and uber sexy outfits to prance around in.

7. Also on the 15th there is a burlesque show with Sabina Chap called Fish and Whips.  For this extravaganza I suggest No. 74 and specifically the Tiger Tuxedo jacket by Jeremey Scott for Adidas.

6. Flamingo has now opened for all of Berlin. It's a bar where you are sure to get your photo taken if you look worthy.  For this party I suggest The Corner. The YSL jumpsuit would look great on you while you stand next to that beautiful antique gold lamp near the doorway.  Divine decadence!

5. If art exhitions are more your vibe: then the Stroke.Artfair which runs from Oct. 14 to 16 at Berlin's Postbahnhof is ideal!  For this event I would go to Andreas Murkudis and shop to my hearts content. The merino wool sweater you buy there could easily take you from day to night and keep you warm at PicNic, where the after party takes place on Friday.

4. Another after party for Planning to Rock is set to go on tonight at the Berghain.  For this grungy yet trendy party I suggest you pop into Voo.  Cheap Mondays and Henrik Vibskov along with Uslu Airlines nail polish AND coffee all in one shop. In fact they also have a Primitive London Installation that looks worth checking out.

3. Perhaps your plans are more like a dinner party in Charlottenberg with those friends you never see because they live on the other side of town. Just pick up a little number at Departmentstore Quartier/ Cabinat 206 and remind them why Mitte is so fucking cool. But you must also visit the Leni Riefenstahl exhibition at Gallery 206. Makes for good dinner conversation.

2. It boys! present Kinky White Hórse at .HBC on October 16th, and they are giving strict orders to dress up! For this occasion I say visit Das Neue Schwarz for the full look. There you go, sorted!

1.But if you're like me a Mitte kid who might just go to Neue Odessa every night because I can't be bothered to get on my bike and ride in the freezing cold, then go to Superficial on Torstr 102 and buy a Sid Vicious T-shirt and jeans and call it a day.

 Have fun shopping everyone!

Thanks to Superficial and Sonja for the cover picture. Other photos are Voo /Primitive London installation, Das Neue Schwarz interior, Schwarzer reiter masks, and Tres Bonjour Latex lingerie.
