“A simple idea that becomes a unique design consisting of carefully chosen materiel and affectionate detail” these are the words Berlin designer Antonia Seigmund uses to emulate Sloe’s S/S 2012 collection, Laid Bag. Having previewed the collection on SLOE’s official website, I must say that the collection has a gentle simplicity to it and is very 'Berlin' in both it's cuts and colour palette.
Founded just last month, the well-executed designs re strong enough to be a staple in any Berlin fashionistas wardrobe – male or female. With the use of soft high quality materials and clean natural colours, and androgynous cuts, they know their market. I personally will be definitely saving up for ‘The Puritan’ bag.
The Voo store has the honour of launching and presenting the SLOE collection at their store this up coming Thursday, with a DJ set by Emil Doesn't Drive and a live performance from Simmone Jones; this is a launch not to be missed. Their may even be a chance to purchase SLOE garments that will be in the store after the event.
BANG BANG BERLIN shall be eagerly attending the presentation, and will report back and give more of an opinion of the designs SLOE has to offer.
Stay tuned for more information.
