Leyla Piedayesh related her inspiration for the current Lala Berlin Spring/Summer-collection 2011, to the theme of “Surface Dynamics”. Contrast and motion formed the core for the entire collection which consists of ready-to-wear clothing, knitwear and “Atelier Lala Berlin” by Leyla Piedayesh.
Body-shaping pieces like stretch pants and body con dresses were flashy elements within the collection. These skin-tight pieces were paired with jacquard knitwear. Detail-rich cut outs and graphic-inspired dividing seams form distinctive accents and underline the mild uptown-girl-look.
The overall composition of surface structures results in an unpredictable dynamic and vivacity. The richness of details was also carried on in the knitwear department. Emphasizing the Rock’n’Roll attitude silk tulle was torn in fine stripes and knitted together. Unconventional collars, layers, ringed patterns and two piece designs round up the total look of this collection.
The colour mood was brought in line with the collection theme. Mix patterns in muted colors create contrast and motion. Like African continent meets coral reefs at the shoreline. Sand, nude and ivory strokes, iridescent neon coral, neon orange and tangerine.
