When it comes to death, I don't really like to tell people how to feel. I don't like to give big speeches, or even offer my condolences, because that wont suffice.

When it comes to death, I prefer to be quiet and I like to share the silence with these people around me. Maybe its because I don't believe that words exist that can cure relatives of the pain they are suffering. We didn't really know Alexander McQueen the man, we knew Alexander McQueen the designer. While we all mourn an incredibly talented designer, it's his loved ones who mourn the man.

All that's left to say is I am so glad that you existed in this world, even though the length of time you were with us feels all to short. Thank you for all the inspiration and beauty that you've left behind. Thank you Lee McQueen.
