Since the 1st of June, the old Bar 25 has been revamped and is now called Kater Holzig. It sits opposite the former location on the south side of the Spree. What was once the dancefloor-cabin is now much larger and overlooks the river as well as a squat-ish looking building. There’s a restaurant on the 3rd floor and then another dancefloor area outside in the massive yard. My initial experience was unfortunately dampened by rain, but I could only imagine how nice it’d be in good weather.
Today they will be opening up the whole bar and having a trendy flohmarkt for designer clothing. Voo and the Adidas #74 concept store will be there with their own booths. The sale will be full of Berlin-based designers including JULIAANDBEN and A.D. Deertz. It starts at 2pm and ends at 12am, so I have the sneaking suspicion it’s going to turn into a party.
