Can you hear that? The gentle pitter patter of musicians from around the world, yes Ladies, Gentlemen and anything in between, Berlin Music Week is upon us, and it is my duty as critic and party boy to tip you off with the best things going on this week in the capital of underground music.
1. SPEECHES ON MUSIC INDUSTRY - ALL WEEK
Berlin will be home to many spectacular speeches and workshops by industry moguls this week, go to the link to see which speeches apply for you and when. I personally think the speech on “Music as culture” will be a very interesting one.
2. Tuesday 7th September - BERLINVISION SONG CONTEST
A nice way to ease yourself into the week with some lighthearted Berlinvision Song Contest. A nice mixture of new talent from different music types all living in Berlin.

3. Friday - Saturday 10th-11th September - BERLIN FESTIVAL
Lets face it, this is what we are waiting for this week, no offense to all the hard work and effort gone into other parties and events this week, but having LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, Fever Ray, Robyn and Barbara Panther in one place at one time is like a wet dream for me. The line up this year is kick ass and is on during Friday and Saturday, leading me nicely to my last top tip off…

4. Sunday 12th September - BAR 25, THE CLOSING PARTY.
Okay, okay, so
Bar 25 closes and opens and closes and opens every year. To be honest I don’t actually care or know if it actually is closing or opening again, but this party on Sunday will not only be messy, it will be full of people from all around the world and the best music. Be prepared to get wild on sunday...the perfect way to finish off a big week of amazing musical talent!
