Battles return for the last time for a very long time so while they might be winding down after a hectic year supporting their utterly fantastic second album, Gloss Drop, here are 10 bloody good reasons why you should see them this Wednesday:

1)      Have you seen how high that cymbal is?!

2)      Last year Battles went two years into the future and murdered every other band in existence so prepare yourself for 17,270 Retrospective albums in 2012.

3)      Keyboardist und Guitarist Ian Williams once finger tapped his guitar nonstop for 17 years...

4)      Battles are actually fifteen very small Chinese robots controlled remotely by Gary Numan.

5)      Guitarist Dave Konopka invented everything except pain. That was Chuck Norris.

6)      At one Battles concert the entire audience, in a fit of total complete pleasure, had sex until all 8,000 attendants died. Or that is a scene from the German novel Perfume: A Story Of A Murderer by Patrick Suskind.

7)      John Stainer is unbearably fit.

8)      If you look in the mirror and say "Battles" fifteen times you need to seek psychiatric help.

9)      Battles will quit music after album number 9 in the year 2588 when we’re all slaves to those damn dirty apes.

10)   Gary Numan

Battles play Postbanhof this Wednesday along with ace support music acts called The Field and Walls.
