Well, I haven´t been to such an impressive gig for years I swear. What am I saying, probably for a decade! LCD Soundsystem kicked off the first in a 3 night extravaganza that was the Melt! Klub Weekender. Those lucky enough to have also been there last Thursday twill have like me, witnessed the crowds unadulterated joy before the starting whistle and their elation after listening to their hero's first verse, a mood which stayed throughout! His excellencey, Mr James Murphy and his NY Gang sent the crowed into a near-state of euphoria - Murphy's voice live sounded even better than on his records, it sent shivers up and down my spine! The Münze location was very impressive too - split on 3 levels and with nice big backyard area where all the Berliners were chilling and smoking up a storm. Anyway, we had a lot of fun checking out the different rooms and bars! LCD are currently touring their new album, titled "This Is Happening", which, and this is the reverse of the medal, is apparently going to be the last album under the LCD Soundsytem flag. Let's see what we can expect as next. BANG BANG BERLIN wishes good speed for the future.
