Chasing your weekly dose of thrills can start to feel a bit like perpetually perusing the child within. Reaching for that repeated rediscovery of the curious little dreamy-eyed creature with shoulders free of the weight of responsibilities, baring a single-minded quest for fun, games and new adventure that reigns supreme above everything else. Each weekend Berlin city finds thousands of the cheeky little rascals inhabiting the exterior shells of ‘adults’; staying up way past their bedtime, dancing vigorously and without self-consciousness, feeding their homework to the resident club dog, and exhibiting an exuberant childlike audacity to call a packet of Haribo, a block of Milka and a couple of bottles of Club Mate a sufficient meal for the day / night. Seems so wrong, feels so right. Forever young? Well, at least for the weekend.

Wear your best childlike grin for Dixon and Âme at Watergate Nacht tonight. If you’re tired of hearing people around Berlin suddenly complaining about Dixon just because he hit the G-Spot so well that the commercial masses eventually caught on and consequently undercut his ‘coolness’, then simply stop listening and start dancing. Indulge in high-octane, feel-good house delivered with signature style, gorgeously matched baselines and fat, juicy punch-you-in-face EQ-ing that refuses to let your body stay still. If you can’t handle having fun then you could always stay home sucking on lemons and scouring the internet for the next cool thing.

Also tonight, one of Hamburg’s premium labels, Smallville, generates some sophisticated sonic house vibrations of its own over at Prince Charles. Label boss Julius Steinhof and his willing co-conspirator, Christopher Rau, will be steering their classy IDM ship at the Organic Smallville Label Night.

Sameheads in Neukölln re-opens the doors to its hipster hood hangout tonight after a short holiday timeout. As is befitting of an expat magnet, tonight’s Deathrattle acknowledges native English speakers’ beloved American tradition of Friday the 13th. The general party approach to this superstitious day of bad luck is to get all covered in blood and get horrendously wasted in order to ward off misfortune. Well, no one ever said that superstition coincides with logic. And when it comes to party dress-ups, the bloodier the sexier.

There’s more darkly themed party action to be found at Arena tonight, where Hitchcock Night takes place. Organisers have developed both the ‘Hitchcock Floor’ - complete with film projections - and the ‘Cage Floor’ for your optimum dancing pleasure, and have also enlisted the help of a solid list of DJs including Efdemin, Dinky and Barker & Baumecker, amongst others.

Tomorrow night Cotton Wood delivers a mouthwatering line-up at About Blank, featuring London’s George Fitzgerald, Detroit’s Terrance Parker and gifted Norwegian Todd Terje (you may have heard releases like ‘Ragyish’ and ‘Snooze For Love’ lifting the roofs off of clubs around the world perhaps a gazillion times or so).

Also tomorrow, Swedish duo, Minilogue, get electronically sparse and intricate at Stattbad Wedding, teasing the creative spaces in your brain inside the venue’s aesthetically intriguing surroundings as part of the latest Stattnacht. And there's a brand new party happening at Flamingo called Soul Revival, sporting Soundstream and Finn Johannsen on their flag fluttering with freshness and promise in the ever-fickle Berlin party wind.
