So many outdoor things to do in Berlin, one really has a great variety. Go through our selection and then hit the roads to explore them yourself.

Kids Top 10 outdoor

Volkspark Friedrichshain
This park is huge and has for everybody an offer! With kids you have the possibility of a nice walk in the stroller or letting them walk, ride their bikes, and for bigger ones skateboarding and roller blades are also possible!! Basket, football, ping pong tables, tennis courts are included. What is really great is how many amazing playgrounds you get in this park. Each one is so different than the other and covers needs of all ages. One of the playgrounds inside this park, offers water so kids can mix sand and water and create with their toys castles, animals, or just built and destroy! Directly next to it, is located a fountain, for kids mostly. The water comes out and all kids are running through it, refreshing themselves and obviously extremely happy. Don’t forget some extra clothes, as kids do want to enjoy the whole experience!!!Restaurants and cafes are also in the park for the hungry or thirsty moments. In the summer there is also an outdoor cinema-in case your baby is sleeping!

Spielwagen
These people are simply genuises!!!! What a fantastic idea to take a van and fill it in with toys and go around specific places in Berlin and fullfill families with happiness and laughters! What I find even more great is that the games are so great,so unique and always changing. They create always something new, so there is always the element: surprise! Kids love it and parents also, as it's simply great to see your kid/s amused and amazed! And for the rainy days, there is still programme! If you are living here or just visiting Berlin it's worth a try! Check their website to see where they are each day! And now for the summer holidays they have even better programme!!

Tiergarten

First time I entered this park I couldn't believe it, that something like that exists in the middle of the city! If you look at a map, it's so amazing that this oasis is staying in such an amazing point. Take your bikes and ride all day long. You forget totally where you are with all these trees and lakes around you. Take the opportunity to visit the playground or make any other activities you feel like, renting a boat - OMG- play rackets or freesbies, football with your kids, pic nic or just bbq. They really love it here and you can always find something to make the little ones happy! Even just walking with them! Huge park which you can enter from
the Regierungsviertel, Potsdamer Platz and the Kulturforum as well as the Diplomatenviertel.

Kinderbad Monbijou
Just next to the river and on the famous Monbijouplatz, you can find a cute swimming pool just for kids. Happy children laughing, playing with water, chasing each other and refreshing themselves on the warm days is mostly what you will see here! And directly next to it is a great playground. A very nice escape for the families, directly in Hackesher Mkt, Mitte.

Viktoria Park

Ok, yes, it's unbelievable how many parks you can visit in Berlin. This one is in Kreuzberg and what's unique about it, is the effect of the artificial waterfalls starting from the monument and leading till down, where Kreuzbergstraße and Großbeerenstraße meet. The playground has been rebuilt on 2010 and has great standards! What makes it even more attractive is that direclty next to it you can find the Golgatha biergarten, which offers a variety of drinks and snacks!

Tempelhofer Park
An airport transforming into a park? Yes this is what the people in this city are possible to create! After many discussions, at the end the citizens managed to have one more huge green park to be proud of! Not only more green in the city, but a great place for leasure, projects and great exhibitions! Amazing area giving the possibility for jogging, skates, playing with kites, wind sports and of course bbq and pic-nic. Ideal for families to plan a pic-nic birthday party and enjoy all day outddor!

Hasenheide

Families in Berlin can enjoy many parks, but this one is also excellent when you want to offer your kids the possibility to see some animals! So here kids get the full package: nature and animals! What's also worth to mention is the mini golf. This park is also a meeting point for football. Besides that, of course, you also get playgrounds, ping pong tables, basket, skating areas and also open air cinema- for quiet babies!! For older children which can stay up a bit later,  there is also projection of  Toy Story 3, on the 24th of July.

Tierpark
This zoo is enormous! You can plan a whole day trip here and the kids will be non stop excited. Beautifully made, this zoo, has fairly enough the rumour that it is fantastic! The actual places where the animals are, are created with very much space and respect to the animals nature. Playgrounds and restaurants are also offered for a break! And of course an area where kids can actually touch and feed animals.

Stralau

Berlin has an island? Yes, just ride your bikes and drive to Stralau, the great oasis opposite of treptower park. It's as if you are on holidays. Quiet, yet fullfilling, this island has all a small- and big- kid needs to see. Nature, water and great relaxation. What's cool is that some of the playgrounds also have as a theme boats! Also, if you are lucky, you might get the opportunity to see seaplanes landing or taking off. Believe me, this will keep your kids attention on high levels, and this trip will be very rewarding to them!
