Tis art season, tis time for the art fairs. Below is your guide to this weeks up and coming art fairs and openings:
The 7th Berlin Art Salon opens today and runs until 10 October 2010, 2pm until 22.00, Sunday until 20.00. It attracts around 12,000 visitors and over 100 artists exhibit. This is a party associated with this event every night starting at 10pm called Image of Art with different DJs playing something different every night; funk, reggae, techno, soul and hip hop, there's something for everyone. Art Forum Berlin opens 6 October until 10 October 2010, noon to 19.00
Opening day: October 6th: Premiere 11am -15.00, Preview 15.00 - 18.00, Vernissage 18.00 -21.00.
This is one of Berlin's most established art fairs, attracting over 40,000 visitors and hosting some of the art world's biggest gallerists. If you do one art fair, do this one. Another established art fair, last year the Tagessspiegel called this 'the hub of all Berlin's art fairs.' 60 exhibitors from 19 countries across the world are hosted at Preview.
