Wednesday nights can sometimes be a little dry in the city, in anticipation for Thursday which marks the official approach of the beloved weekend. But tomorrow night the concept store and exhibition space, kulturpur, is celebrating its 3rd anniversary, in collaboration with *ArtStars!

Voted one of the top 50 shops in Berlin by Airbnb, kultpur features the hottest works of the best up-and-coming designers working in textile, design accessories, jewellery, furniture and more.

kultpur is divided into three primary sections to display “the art of living”

1. Design – kultpur is proud to feature an exceptional selection of never-seen-before design products chosen from the underground

2. Enjoyment – kultpur offers a broad, eclectic selection of hand-picked, rare delicacies from an international platform for every living space

3. Culture – kultpur offers an ongoing event series offering music, wine tastings, readings, fashion shows and more

kultpur themes run for every three months featuring new design. The current “Home Sweet Home” theme runs from Sept. 6 - Nov. 29, 2012.

“I want to create a completely new atmosphere each time,” says Johanna Groß, kultpur founder. “My main interest is showing productions and telling the stories behind them.”

Three Year Anniversary Party

For the three-year anniversary bash, kultpur is pleased to feature the rockabilly duo, the Hornbrothers, playing a live set in the store at 8 p.m.

But it doesn’t stop there. All drinks, including beer, wine, prosecco and lemonades will be just 1€ with free vodka and Mampe shots in between. Just as kultpur is best known for creating a warm and cozy atmosphere, there will be complimentary snacks, dips, bread and vegetable sticks. A small lottery will be a treat to the first 50 guests at the bar.
