September 1st marks the opening of the "Berlin - Italy" exhibition, the exhibition takes a look at Italian fashion over the years, the glamour, the stuctures, the perfect tailoring etc etc.

The exhibition will last until the 15th of September, so if you fail to make the opening night on the 1st September (quite possibly because of the immense evening we have lined up at the BangBangGallery on Choriner Straße 34) Then fear not, there is 14 more days to see the exhibition, but of course you could be a true gallery queen and check out both.

To promote Italian fashion the Italian Ministry of Economic Developement will be doing a special project as a side street from the exhibition, The project is a campaign titled "Berlin - Italy A journey though Italian Fashion".

One must ask themselves why the Italian Ministry of Economic Developement has chosen Berlin as a place to show off Italian fashion, Considering Berlin fashion week is a quarter of the length of Italian fashion week, I think, They think, that Berlin is quite possibly the best place to be in todays economy... And I couldn't agree more.

I personally am a sucker for glamour and decadence and sparkle, something that both myself and Italy have in common, That and a love for pasta carbonara but that is another story for another day.

The exhibition will not only be photography (of course) but textiles, jewelry, giant high heels and everything that Italian fashion can cover including breakthrough new Italian designers and with Italian fashion schools involvement also, I genuinely believe this will be an interesting exhibition to go to if you have even a vague irregular heartbeat when the word "fashion" is mentioned.

The exhibition is at "Me collectors room" (Auguststrasse 68) open daily from 12:00 - 20:00 Thursday - Friday from 12:00 -22:00 (aren't you lucky late night buggers!)
