This week Berlin plays host to some rather eccentric and exciting events. At the experimental arts project space
MicaMoca in Wedding, the Polish are taking over and claiming the city as theirs in a weekend of exhibitions and performances entitled,
POLAND IS NOT YET LOST. They tell us to expect blood, sausage, and art - so worth a look just to see what exactly this intriguing description means! Whilst at Alexandra Rockelman's
Galerie OPEN (which was included in the Guardian's Top 10
Berlin Galleries recently), emerging curator Leen Horsford has taken over for the summer and presents an exciting and original performance-dining experience, DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD. This promises to be a dining experience like no other - expect a tasty 3-course meal whilst somehow participating in an art performance. With a somewhat vague description, I've got no idea what to expect, but my curiousity matches my appetite for good food and so this is one event I won't be missing! DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD - a 3-course dining experience you'll never forget!
As part of Summer Break 2011's exhibtion Objective of Play, we want to give you a fresh and playful eating experience. We invite you to participate in a dining performance of a three-course meal where nothing will be as you expected.
Don't play with your food is limited to only 30 performers and costs 15euro per-head, payable on the door. To book your place at the 'table' please email us at summer-break@galerie-open.net with the names of the participants, write it in the diary and look forward to a brand new dining experience.

Life Drawing *INK* Workshop with professional artist & tutor, Michael Markwick
Michael will be introducing ink drawing techniques in the session! Working with washes, pens and other tools. Its a nice intermediate step between painting and drawing.
